Dear Professor Cui,
Greetings, my name is Justin Choi, and I am currently a high schooler in Seoul International School that is very beloved in math and science. Recently, I have been researching for weeks of the reasoning behind the bad air quality in Seoul, which is due to the existence of fine dust particles. To this day, I developed my knowledge of what exactly fine dust particles are, as well as the function behind the common facial yellow-dust K94 masks that Koreans wear every day.
Until now, I have been collaborating with Professor Jang Wook Choi in finding the basics of the project and idea, and he recommended me to have a deep discussion with you of this research project, which led me to write this proposal to you: I would like to kindly request a visit to your lab at Stanford during the summer to become a part of the lab procedure training and continue my research through continuous experiments.
I really wanted to express how interested I am in this project and would really appreciate it if you become a helpful mentor to become a stepping stone towards my future and voyage in the world of science.
Thanks,
Justin Choi
Dear Justin
I am glad to hear from you. I would be happy to communicate about the opportunity to perform a research project in my lab.
Yi
Dear Professor Cui,
Thank you for accepting my request! I am looking forward to continuing my next process along with the help of Dr. Hye Ryoung Lee.
I really appreciate your quick reply even through your busy schedule for the sake of my project. Hope we meet each other soon!
Sincerely,
Justin Choi
